Thanksgiving Dish Roundup

My philosophy on Thanksgiving preparations is to go for simple, comforting, and familiar. If you want to get fancy, get out your nicest tableware and table linens, decorate with a festive centerpiece and maybe focus on one new dish. This year, I’m trying out a butternut squash-apple-cranberry stuffing, and if all goes well, I’ll share the recipe here for next year. In the meantime, if you are looking for another dish to round out your Thanksgiving table, here are some tried-and-true Seasoned Traveler favorites for soup, salad and sides this time of year.

What are your Thanksgiving favorites? Please share in the comments section. Happy Thanksgiving!

Soup: Taste of Autumn Pumpkin & Pear Soup

Salad: Marinated Roasted Beet & Goat Cheese Salad with Dill

Sides:  Silky Braised Leeks, Roasted Sweet Potato Spears with Nigella Seeds, Roasted Balsamic Glazed Brussels Sprouts, Golden Mashed Potatoes with Leeks

Dessert: Sticky Toffee Pudding with Warm Butterscotch Sauce, Nigella’s Chocolate Cloud Cake

    • Thanks. So I had to google “ilex” – I didn’t know they were the same as holly berries! Yes, I drove by a colorful display of these at a roadside stand for about a week before I decided I needed to get these for a colorful Thanksgiving centerpiece. They are gorgeous, aren’t they? Thanks for telling me what they are 🙂
